No matter the course
Things go south at times
Dragging sailors to fearful
places
Where terrific creatures reside.
Beware the faces! Hark those
names!
On the white beaches of silence
They no longer hide.
Most of the sailors try to
turn here,
But none has ever succeeded.
To land, just go without fear
From one shipwreck to another.
Don’t talk, or rather
Let your mind and mouth
Know nothing else, but south.
The one you banished
Will quietly follow
The face and the name
Dreadful and true
Will complete you anew
And take you back
Where man has vanished.
